Friendship State Bank officially broke ground for its newest location in Bright, Indiana, on Friday, May 24, 2024. The decision to establish a presence in Bright reflects Friendship's commitment to provide financial solutions, service, and options to residents and businesses in the area.

"The number one reason we are building an office in Bright is that it is a growing community that is, we believe, grossly underserved," said Chris Meyer, Friendship State Bank President, and CEO. "There is just one bank in Bright, a large Ohio-owned bank. Shouldn't Indiana towns have Indiana banks?"

Friendship State Bank empowers residents to achieve their dreams and aspirations. As the equipment is set up on-site and the groundwork commences, Friendship invites Bright residents to 'Start the Friendship.'

"Whether it's buying a home, starting a business, planning for the future, or more easily managing your finances, our team is dedicated to guiding customers every step of the way," said Meyer.

Residents in the Bright area can initiate their banking relationship with Friendship even before the opening of the Bright branch. New deposit accounts and loan applications can be completed online at FriendshipStateBank.com, or individuals can visit any of Friendship's eight other local branches, including locations in Lawrenceburg and Batesville. Additionally, a staff meet and greet event at a local venue is in the planning stages for the fall. This event will provide an invaluable opportunity for the Bright branch team and leadership to engage with the community, gain insight into their unique needs and goals, and address any inquiries they may have.

"Bright and surrounding community residents can expect more than just banking services," said Katie Sparks, Friendship’s Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator. "Friendship is committed to being an active participant in the community. The branch will support local initiatives, sponsor events, and collaborate with community organizations to promote economic growth and quality of life."

"We are excited to become a part of the fabric of Bright and to contribute to its ongoing growth and success," added Meyer. "Our team looks forward to building lasting relationships with the residents, businesses, and organizations in Bright and the surrounding communities."

Friendship State Bank is slated to welcome customers by year-end at the intersection of State Line and Sneakville Roads in Bright. The bank has collaborated with K4 Architecture and Maxwell Construction to bring this project to life.
